Security Enhanced for Upcoming Kanwar Yatra
To ensure the smooth and peaceful conclusion of the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Zone, Anupama Shrivastava, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh, visited Panchal Ghat in the KADRI GATE police station area of Farrukhabad. The inspection focused on arrangements for devotee safety, sanitation, lighting, and traffic management.
Comprehensive Security Assessment
During the inspection, the ADG meticulously reviewed the security arrangements, including the Kanwar Yatra route, barricading status, CCTV camera functionality, police deployment plan, and the availability of emergency services. She obtained vital information from the concerned officials.
The ADG issued clear directives to prioritize the convenience and safety of Kanwar pilgrims, stating that any level of negligence would not be tolerated.
Reinforcing Security Measures
ADG Anupama Shrivastava stressed the importance of ensuring adequate lighting and improving sanitation in the Panchal Ghat area. She highlighted that a large number of devotees are expected, necessitating robust security arrangements at all costs.
Extensive Preparations Underway
Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh informed that extensive preparations are being made for the Kanwar Yatra. Additional police force will be deployed at identified sensitive locations. A special plan has also been devised to maintain smooth traffic flow during the journey.
Several senior police and administrative officials were present during the inspection. The administration has appealed to the devotees to maintain peace and harmony during the pilgrimage. It is noteworthy that Kanwar pilgrims often collect Ganga water from Farrukhabad's Panchal Ghat for offering at the Shiva Lingam in Gola Gokrannath.
