Indore Sets World Record with Mass E-Pledge Against Drugs, 1.75 Lakh Participants

Historic E-Pledge for Drug-Free Society

Under the Madhya Pradesh Police's 'Say No To Drugs 2.0' campaign, the Indore Police Commissionerate has achieved a historic milestone. On July 28, 2026, a massive e-pledge ceremony saw 175,451 citizens collectively take an oath for drug de-addiction, establishing a new world record.

This achievement is a matter of pride not only for Indore but for the entire Madhya Pradesh, symbolizing the society's collective commitment against drug abuse. The statewide campaign saw widespread online participation from students, teachers, police personnel, government and private institutions, corporate offices, social organizations, and the general public.

World Record Verification and Certification

The main event, conducted via Zoom, YouTube Live, and social media platforms, connected various educational institutions, police units, stations, and organizations to the Indore Police Commissionerate. Indore Police Commissioner Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh administered the collective e-pledge to all participants.

Representatives from the World Book of Records, London, were present on-site to verify the number of participants and the procedure. They confirmed the new world record set by the Indore Police Commissionerate and presented a certificate of appreciation.

A New Benchmark Through Public Participation

Notably, in the first phase of the campaign in 2025, the Indore Police Commissionerate had already set a world record by administering an e-pledge to 85,003 citizens. This year, with an unprecedented participation of 175,451 individuals, Indore Police has surpassed its own previous record, setting a stronger benchmark.

The Broad Scope of 'Say No To Drugs 2.0'

The Madhya Pradesh Police's 'Say No To Drugs 2.0' campaign extends beyond mere law enforcement; it has evolved into a comprehensive social movement. Its objective is to raise public awareness, encourage community participation, and positively guide youth away from the detrimental path of drug abuse.

Through this campaign, an effort is being made to create a mass movement against drugs by ensuring active involvement from schools, colleges, academic institutions, social organizations, and the general public across the state.
