India Legends Crowned Champions of MLK Tri-Series

In a thrilling final of the MLK Legend Tri-Series held in Balrampur, India Legends emerged victorious, defeating Bharat Legends by a significant margin of 80 runs. The match, played on Sunday, saw a stellar performance from India Legends, who ultimately claimed the championship trophy.

The competition, which spanned four days, featured three teams: India Legends, Hindustan Legends, and Bharat Legends. The final showdown proved to be a decisive encounter.

Dominant Performance by India Legends

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India Legends posted a challenging total of 177 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Ayaz Mantu played a crucial inning of 46 runs, while Iqbal contributed a brisk 40 runs off 29 balls. The quickfire innings from Puneet Singh and Ananya Gaurav Mishra were instrumental in building the team's strong score.

Vichitra Veer Singh's Lethal Bowling Dismantles Bharat Legends

Chasing a substantial target, Bharat Legends appeared to be under pressure from the outset and struggled to cope with the precision bowling of India Legends. Left-arm spinner Vichitra Veer Singh was the chief destroyer, breaking the backbone of the opposition's batting lineup.

Vichitra Veer Singh was instrumental in restricting Bharat Legends, claiming four crucial wickets for just 24 runs in his four overs. His exceptional spell earned him the Man of the Match award. Additionally, Asif Salman bowled economically, taking two wickets for nine runs in 2.4 overs, effectively curbing Bharat Legends' run rate.

For Bharat Legends, Ankur Singh fought valiantly with a gritty 36 runs off 24 balls, but the rest of the batting order failed to provide support, leading to their downfall. Ultimately, the entire Bharat Legends team was bowled out for a mere 97 runs in 13.4 overs, handing India Legends an emphatic 80-run victory.

Awards Ceremony and Call for Future Events

During the closing ceremony, ENT Surgeon Dr. Kayyum and Corporator Sanjay Mishra presented the trophies to the winning and runner-up teams. In the awards segment, Sannu Ansari of Hindustan Legends was recognized as the Best Bowler and Man of the Series, while Bunty Tiwari received the award for Best Batsman.

Sachin Madan, a senior player from India Legends, described the event as a pleasant experience. He remarked, "It was a memorable moment to have all the players together after nearly 20 years." He also lauded the efforts of Laik Ansari, Asif Salman, Akshay Khan, and Jeevan Jyoti Yadav, along with other collaborators, for their contributions to the event's success.

Dr. Kayyum commended the fitness levels and passion for the game displayed by the players, urging for the continuation of such events in the future. Corporator Sanjay Mishra also praised the performance of all the players and encouraged them.

This event not only promoted the sport but also strengthened the camaraderie among the players.
