Deputy CM Visits Sankisa, Pledges Development

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya visited the historic Buddhist pilgrimage site of Sankisa in the Farrukhabad district on October 26, 2026. He offered prayers at the Buddhist stupa and announced new plans for the all-round development of the site.

The Deputy CM instructed officials to prepare and send proposals for Sankisa's development to the government. This initiative aims to further enhance this significant location. He also held discussions with party officials, including MP Mukesh Rajput, BJP District President Fatehchand Verma, MLA Sushil Shakya, and Dr. Surabhi, at the PWD guest house.

Grand Corridor and Road Connectivity Planned

Highlighting Sankisa's historical importance, Deputy CM Maurya stated that Lord Buddha descended to earth here from heaven. He assured that Sankisa Buddhist pilgrimage site will be developed with a grand corridor, similar to Ayodhya and Kashi.

Furthermore, a four-lane road will be constructed to connect the pilgrimage site with major national highways, improving its accessibility. This move is expected to boost tourism and facilitate easier access for devotees.

Political Address and Development Pledge

Addressing the political landscape, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya strongly criticized the opposition alliance. He asserted that no matter how large a coalition the opposition parties form, they cannot compete with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Maurya expressed full confidence that the BJP will form the government in Uttar Pradesh for the third consecutive time, securing a thumping majority with over 300 seats. He emphasized that women's safety is a top priority for the government and that the BJP administration has significantly propelled the state on the path of development.

He appealed for public support for the BJP by recalling alleged atrocities against women during the Samajwadi Party's rule. Reaffirming the commitment to 'Sabka Saath Aur Sabka Vikas' (With Everyone's Support, Development for Everyone), Maurya stated that the government is serving the public with this very mantra.
