Special Route Diversion for Ganesh Visarjan in Bareilly

In anticipation of the upcoming idol immersion festival for Ganesh Chaturthi, Bareilly is implementing a special three-day traffic diversion plan. This measure aims to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and public safety during the festivities.

The diversion plan will be effective from 06:00 AM on September 18, 2026, until 08:00 PM on September 20, 2026. During this period, heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited from entering the city limits.

Restrictions on Heavy Vehicle Entry

The primary objective of restricting heavy vehicles is to ensure the safety of the numerous devotees heading to the Ramganga River bank for immersion and to prevent traffic congestion.

According to advisories issued by the traffic police, heavy vehicles will be barred from entering key locations including Parsakheda Road No-01, Bilwa, Vilyadham, Lalpur Cut, Navadiya Jhada, Transport Nagar, Satellite Triraha, Bukhara Mor, and Ramganga Triraha.

Furthermore, no heavy vehicles will be permitted to proceed towards Ramganga from Devchara Chowk, Bukhara Mor, and Chaupala Bridge.

Alternative Routes Designated

To maintain smooth traffic flow, the police have designated alternative routes for heavy vehicles approaching Bareilly from various directions.

• Heavy vehicles coming to Bareilly from Delhi, Rampur, Nainital, and Pilibhit can travel via Jhumka Triraha to Parsakheda Industrial Area or take the large bypass via Invertis Triraha to their destinations.
• Vehicles heading towards Lucknow are advised to use the Bilwa and Vilyadham routes.
• Heavy vehicles entering or exiting towards Badaun will need to use the routes via Faridpur and Dataganj.

Emphasis on Safety and Compliance

The Bareilly Traffic Police urges the public to strictly adhere to the issued advisory to avoid any inconvenience.

All commuters are expected to use only the designated alternative routes to ensure that law and order are maintained and traffic flow is not disrupted during the immersion procession.

Police administration has clarified that the department is fully prepared to make traffic management smooth and safe, and any negligence in this regard will be strictly monitored. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys according to these suggested routes to reach their destinations on time.
