Four Family Members Found Dead in Balrampur Home, Police Investigating

Tragic Discovery in Balrampur

A deeply disturbing incident has sent shockwaves through the entire region of Balrampur district. Late Friday evening, the gruesome discovery of four blood-soaked bodies of a single family within their home in Gosaipurwa, Jauhna village, Kotwali Dehat area, has created widespread panic.

The deceased have been identified as 28-year-old Bajrang Giri, his 25-year-old wife Komal, their three-year-old daughter Shraddha, and ten-month-old infant Jaideep. Initial investigations and evidence from the scene suggest the police are treating this as a case of domestic discord or suicide.

Police Launch Intensive Investigation

Acting on the information received, Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar, along with the forensic team and a heavy police contingent, immediately arrived at the scene. The investigation process commenced without delay in Gosaipurwa, Jauhna village, located approximately 45 kilometers from the district headquarters.

The scene yielded two country-made firearms (tamanchas) and spent cartridges, underscoring the gravity of the situation. SP Vikas Kumar stated that the recovered firearms and forensic evidence are currently under examination.

Family Brother Provides Initial Information

The victim Bajrang Giri's brother, Ram Kumar Giri, reported that other family members were not present at the house during the incident. He was the first to receive information and discover the bodies upon arriving at the scene.

Police are also questioning both of the deceased's brothers to gain a better understanding of the family's circumstances. The investigation is proceeding with an open mind, and all possibilities are being considered.

Currently, the police are leaning towards the incident being a suicide, but a thorough investigation of all potential angles is underway before any conclusions are drawn.
