Minor Dies in Tragic Tractor Accident
In the Mau Darwaza police station area of Farrukhabad, a 17-year-old boy suffered a fatal injury after being struck by a municipality garbage tractor. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon around 12:00 PM.
The victim, identified as Nilesh, son of Satish, was riding on a bicycle with his father, Satish, heading to the market. They resided in Kashiram Colony, Haibatpur Gadhiya. The accident took place near Shani Dev temple.
Tractor Collision Leaves Teen Critically Injured
According to eyewitnesses, a municipality tractor approaching from behind at high speed rammed their bicycle. The collision was so severe that Nilesh fell off the bicycle onto the road. The front wheel of the tractor then ran over his abdomen, causing critical injuries.
The driver, reportedly named Rajendra, panicked after the incident and fled the scene with the tractor. Nilesh was rushed to a private hospital on Karbala Road by his family for immediate treatment.
Fatal Injuries Lead to Death
Doctors at the hospital began treatment immediately, but tragically, Nilesh succumbed to his severe injuries during the course of treatment. The news of his death has sent shockwaves of grief through his family.
Police Assure Action
Regarding the incident, Bajaria Chowki Incharge Satyendra Singh stated that they have received information about the municipality tractor hitting the teenager. He assured that a case would be registered under relevant sections of the law once a complaint is filed by the family. The body will be sent for post-mortem, and a thorough investigation will be conducted to ensure strict action against the guilty.
Local police have commenced an investigation to locate the absconding driver and the vehicle.
