Farrukhabad District Magistrate Emphasizes Quality Healthcare Services in Monthly Meeting

District Health Committee Meeting Held in Farrukhabad

A significant monthly meeting of the District Health Committee was held in the Collectorate Auditorium, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathr. The meeting focused on a thorough review of the progress of various national health programs, maternal and child health services, immunization, institutional deliveries, family welfare programs, Ayushman Bharat, and other health schemes operating in the district.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed departmental officials to ensure the effective implementation of health schemes and achieve set targets on time. He emphasized that providing quality and accessible healthcare services to all citizens is the government's top priority, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. He also mentioned the importance of encouraging doctors and health workers who perform exceptionally well.

Focus on Immunization and Maternal-Child Health

The District Magistrate reviewed the progress of routine immunization and ordered the assurance of 100% vaccination for all eligible children and pregnant women. He placed particular emphasis on the regular monitoring of high-risk pregnant women, timely treatment, and ensuring institutional deliveries to reduce maternal and child mortality rates. Additionally, instructions were given to organize blood donation camps at district and block levels.

Review of Ayushman Bharat and Communicable Disease Control

The meeting also reviewed the progress of Golden Card generation under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme and efforts to provide its benefits to eligible beneficiaries. Instructions were issued for the effective management of the communicable disease control campaign, ensuring the availability of medicines at health centers, the presence of doctors and paramedical staff, and maintaining cleanliness. The District Magistrate ordered the preparation of ASHA worker ASHA IDs for doorstep Ayushman card creation in urban and rural areas and action against ASHA workers not performing satisfactorily.

Increased Scrutiny on Private Hospitals

The District Magistrate urged all medical officers to regularly visit their respective areas to monitor the quality of health services and ensure swift resolution of any issues. He directed for better coordination between the health department and related departments for the effective implementation of public welfare schemes. In a critical directive, he ordered action against private hospitals that are not submitting reports on delivery data for pregnant women.

The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anand Upadhyay, Additional Chief Medical Officer, District Program Manager, all Medical Superintendents, In-Charge Medical Officers, and other concerned officials from the health department.
