Fair Organizers Penalized for Neglecting Cleanliness at Dussehra Ground

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has levied a fine of Rs 16,200 on the organizers of a fair held at the Bitthan Market Dussehra Ground for the significant amount of garbage and mess left behind. This action was taken in accordance with the clear directives of Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, aimed at strengthening the city's sanitation system.

Widespread Enforcement Across City Areas

Beyond the Bitthan Market grounds, the Municipal Corporation's health department has taken strict action against 81 other cases of sanitation rule violations across various parts of the city. These enforcement activities, conducted by different zones, resulted in the collection of Rs 13,100 in fines or spot fines, reinforcing the importance of maintaining public cleanliness.

Detailed Breakdown of Fines Collected

In a focused inspection by the staff of Zone No. 10, the mess created by the fair organizers, identified as the Vimleshwari Association Fair Organizing Committee, led by organizer Mr. Ashish Gupta, prompted the immediate collection of the Rs 16,200 penalty. This penalty serves as a stern warning for future events.

Further actions included Zone No. 13 collecting Rs 3,600 from 17 cases, Zone No. 14 collecting Rs 5,300 from 31 cases, Zone No. 15 collecting Rs 2,200 from 13 cases, and Zone No. 16 collecting Rs 2,000 from 20 cases. In total, across these various zones, a sum of Rs 29,300 was collected from 82 cases through spot fines.
