MLA Urges Special Assembly Session for Teacher Exemption
Chachoura MLA Priyanka Painchi has formally written to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, strongly advocating for the exemption of teachers appointed before 2010 from the mandatory eligibility examination. She has also requested the convening of a special assembly session to find a permanent solution to this sensitive issue.
In her letter, MLA Painchi emphasized that the Right to Education Act was implemented in the state in 2010. However, under current regulations, the eligibility test rule is being applied to teachers who were appointed before 2010. This group includes senior professionals who have already completed 20 to 25 years of dedicated service.
The mandatory eligibility test has become a significant source of mental stress and uncertainty for these experienced teachers who have served faithfully for many years. This policy has a direct bearing on the future of thousands of experienced teachers in the state.
Call for Special Session to Safeguard Teacher Futures
With the aim of ensuring the future and service security of thousands of teachers, MLA Priyanka Painchi has appealed to the Chief Minister to find a lasting solution to this policy matter. She clarified that all teachers appointed before 2010 should be completely exempted from this eligibility test requirement. The MLA believes this will provide relief to senior teachers who have been serving for a long time, alleviating the uncertainty surrounding their future.
Given the difficulties these teachers are facing due to current regulations, the government is expected to take immediate action. The MLA's letter has once again brought this issue to the forefront among teachers, and it remains to be seen how the state government will respond and what solution it proposes.
