'Omkar Naad' Commemorates 27th Death Anniversary of Pandit Omkar Prasad Tiwari

Jabalpur | September 17, 2026. A special memorial event, 'Omkar Naad', was organized on Wednesday evening at the Shaheed Smarak Golbazar in Jabalpur to mark the 27th death anniversary of Pandit Omkar Prasad Tiwari. The event celebrated the legendary artist's legacy.

Local artists enchanted music lovers late into the night by performing evergreen classics by maestros such as Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar. The musical caravan commenced as dusk settled and continued until the early hours, captivating the audience with popular songs like 'Ye Duniya Ye Mehfil Mere Kaam Ki Nahi' and 'Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana'.

The performances on the Shaheed Smarak stage were delivered by artists including Avshesh Jain, Vinay Jha, Prashant Soni, Mayank Vishwakarma, Mayur Ramawat, Kanika Dubey, Nilofar Khan, Sasika Vishwakarma, Rakhi Majumdar, Avani Vishwakarma, Nayra Dubey, Tulsi Rai, M. Lanis, Lavayans Kumar, and Wasim Ansari. The program was expertly compered by Amit Parnami, who masterfully blended melodies, memories, and respect for the audience.

Prominent Figures Attend Memorial Ceremony

The memorial ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of numerous public representatives and distinguished citizens. Notable attendees included Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, former Mayor Prabhat Sahu, and former State President of BJYM Dheeraj Pateriya.

Also present were Jyotiracharya Abhinav Dubey, Vasudev Shastri, Ravi Gupta, Sudhir Nayak, Anil Tiwari, Alok Tiwari, Anup Tiwari, Mukesh Pathak, Mangu Goyal, Munna Patel, Mukesh Siparsaniya, Ashish Nagariya, Antu Jain, Munna Bhaijan, Rajnish Dubey, Shubham Mishra, Aastik Tiwari, and Shailesh Dubey.
