District Magistrate Expresses Displeasure Over Slow Farmer Registry Pace, Orders Special Camps
Bareilly: The District Magistrate on Saturday expressed deep displeasure over the slow pace of farmer registration in the Bareilly district during a review meeting held at the Collectorate auditorium. He emphasized that the Chief Secretary's office is continuously monitoring this crucial task, and any negligence will not be tolerated.
The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to make special efforts to accelerate the work. He clarified that special camps should be organized at the Tehsil and Development Block levels to expedite the registration process.
Furthermore, Block Development Officers were instructed to conduct regular field inspections and ensure weekly progress reviews. The active participation of Lekhpals and Panchayat Secretaries was deemed mandatory for the success of this campaign.
Prompt Resolution of Pending Cases Under SVAMITVA Scheme
The review meeting also included a detailed discussion on pending cases under the SVAMITVA scheme. The District Magistrate stressed that these cases must be resolved on a priority basis as soon as possible.
He stated that a primary goal of this campaign is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible farmers in a timely manner. The review meeting was attended by senior officials from various departments, including Additional District Magistrate Administration Purnima Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture O.P. Mishra, District Panchayat Raj Officer Kamal Kishore, and Project Director DRDA Chandra Prakash Srivastava.
The administration also made it clear that in the future, if there is no improvement in the quality and speed of work, the accountability of the concerned officials will be fixed. The administration has directed all concerned officials to establish better coordination at the ground level, keeping in mind the government's priorities, and to complete the work within the stipulated deadlines.
