The Chil police's cyber cell team in Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh, has successfully recovered the full amount of ₹27,000 defrauded from a local resident. The victim, Nannhelal Yadav, was targeted through a suspicious link received on WhatsApp, leading to a significant financial loss.

Nannhelal Yadav filed a complaint on the NCRP portal on February 6, 2026, after losing the money. This incident serves as a stark reminder of how online fraudsters can exploit unsuspecting individuals, turning a simple click into a major financial crisis.

Police Intervention and Fund Recovery
