Training Concludes for Customs Officials

The Cliff News | Bhopal | September 13, 2026 A two-week training program for 65 inspector-level officials from the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NASIN) has successfully concluded at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhopal. The training was held from August 31 to September 12.

Guidance on Key Operational Aspects

Shri Amit Sanghi, Deputy Inspector General, Home Guard & Disaster Management, Bhopal, presided over the closing ceremony and addressed the trainees. He provided guidance on critical subjects such as field work management, administrative decision-making processes, law and order, crime investigation, discipline, and effective coordination with the police department.

Shri Sanghi emphasized that better coordination, clear working methods, and professional efficiency among various enforcement and law-and-order related departments enhance the effectiveness of government functions.

He advised the officials to utilize the knowledge and experience gained during the training to achieve better results in their respective fields.

Intensive Training on New Criminal Laws and Management

During this two-week training program, NASIN officials received intensive training on various subjects aimed at strengthening law, discipline, professional efficiency, and inter-departmental coordination. Topics included parade and discipline, weapon tactics, court procedures, human rights, ethics and morality, criminology, personality development and human behavior, management, and work-life balance.

A significant aspect of the training was acquainting the officials with the provisions of the latest criminal laws, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). The objective was to ensure that officials can work in their respective domains with an effective understanding of these new laws.

Furthermore, special emphasis was placed on developing better working coordination and mutual understanding among various enforcement agencies.

Madhya Pradesh Police Academy's Continuous Endeavor

Such training programs organized by the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal, are aimed at further strengthening the legal understanding, discipline, professional efficiency, leadership capabilities, and work management skills of officials from the NASIN (Customs & Indirect Taxes) department. The academy is continuously working towards strengthening law, discipline, leadership, professional efficiency, and inter-departmental coordination by organizing such programs for officials from various departments.

Present on the occasion of the training's conclusion were Shri Ramji Shrivastava, Deputy Director, Madhya Pradesh Police Academy, Bhopal; Smt. Renu Damor (IRS), Assistant Director Training; Smt. Rashmi Pandey, Assistant Director; Smt. Yasmeen Zahra, Assistant Director; senior officers and staff of the academy; and officers and staff from the NASIN department.
