Narmadapuram Municipality Tackles Road Encroachments

The Narmadapuram Municipality has initiated a significant campaign against encroachments on major city intersections, including VIP Road, to ensure smooth and organized traffic management. As part of this initiative, three fruit and vegetable vendor carts obstructing the road were seized on Friday.

The action was carried out under the direction of Municipal President Neetu Mahendra Yadav and Chief Municipal Officer Vaibhav Deshmukh. The encroachment team inspected critical locations such as SNG School, Nehru Park Chauraha, and SP Office Chauraha.

Vendors Disregard Warnings, Face Seizure

Fruit and vegetable vendors had been causing severe traffic disruptions by setting up their carts along the roadside in these areas, leading to considerable inconvenience for citizens. The municipal team removed these carts from the spot and confiscated three of them.

Sheikh Sikandar, the in-charge of the encroachment team, stated that the concerned vendors had been repeatedly advised to refrain from placing their carts on the road and to conduct business only in designated areas. Despite these warnings, some vendors continued to violate regulations, obstructing traffic, which necessitated this strict action.

Traffic Improvement Drive Continues

The municipality administration has clearly instructed vendors not to place their carts on the road in the future. Officials emphasized that maintaining the city's traffic system is the municipality's top priority.

Keeping in mind the convenience of citizens, this anti-encroachment campaign will continue unabated. Regular inspections are being conducted to keep the city's main routes free of encroachments, and illegal possessions and temporary encroachments causing traffic hindrances will be dealt with according to the rules.

The municipal administration has appealed to all traders and vendors to operate their businesses only in designated areas and to cooperate in making the city organized. Local residents have welcomed the municipality's initiative, stating that such continuous action will undoubtedly improve the city's traffic system.
