NASIN Officers Undergo Intensive Training in Bhopal

A comprehensive two-week training program for 65 inspector-level officers from the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NASIN) has successfully concluded at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhopal. The specialized session, held from August 31 to September 12, 2026, aimed to enhance the professional capabilities of the officers and familiarize them with the latest legal provisions.

Focus on New Criminal Laws and Professional Development

The closing ceremony was presided over by Amit Sanghi, Deputy Inspector General, Home Guard & Disaster Management. In his address to the trainees, Sanghi emphasized the importance of field work management, effective administrative decision-making processes, and improved inter-departmental coordination with the police department. He stated that strong synergy and professional excellence among enforcement agencies can significantly boost the effectiveness of governmental functions.

Comprehensive Curriculum Equips Officers for New Legal Landscape

The training curriculum provided in-depth knowledge on various subjects designed to strengthen officers' understanding of law, discipline, professional efficiency, and inter-departmental coordination. A key highlight of the course was a detailed exploration of the provisions within the latest criminal laws, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. This focus aimed to ensure officers could effectively enforce and comply with these new laws in their respective domains.

In addition to these significant legal changes, the training also covered practical and crucial topics such as parade, weapon tactics, judicial procedures, human rights, ethics, criminology, and work-life balance. These subjects were included to foster the holistic development of the officers' skills and knowledge.

Academy's Commitment to Enhancing Officer Capabilities

The training program organized by the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy served as a significant step in strengthening the legal understanding, leadership abilities, and work management skills of NASIN officers. The academy is continuously engaged in organizing such programs for officers from various government departments to bolster their professional efficiency and leadership potential.

Senior officials and staff from the academy, including Deputy Director Ramji Srivastava, Smt. Renu Damor, Assistant Director Training Rashmi Pandey, and Assistant Director Yasmeen Zahra, were present at the conclusion. All officers were advised to effectively utilize the knowledge gained during the training in their respective fields. This event is being viewed as an important initiative towards fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among various enforcement agencies.
