Bhopal: Over 4500 Street Lights Repaired in 15 Days

Extensive Street Light Maintenance Underway

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation is undertaking a comprehensive maintenance drive for its street light system to ensure the convenience and safety of citizens. The corporation's electrical wing has successfully serviced more than 4500 street lights in the past 15 days, restoring smooth illumination across the city.

Following the directives of Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Sanskruti Jain, the electrical branch has conducted maintenance work on street lights in various key areas on a war footing. This effort has addressed complaints received through multiple channels, with repair work completed on over 4500 street lights in major routes, market areas, and residential colonies.

Reinforcing Illumination in Key Zones

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation is committed to maintaining an effective electrical lighting system, prioritizing citizen convenience, city beautification, and preparation for the upcoming BRICS conference. As part of this initiative, maintenance and repair of street lights have been carried out at several prominent locations throughout the city.

• Key areas where street lights have been serviced include: Raja Bhoj Statue, Motive Structures, G.I.S. Lights, VIP Road to Lalghati, Hamidia Road, Nehru Nagar to P.N.T. Chowk, Mata Mandir to Tulsi Nagar Tower, Aradhana Nagar Road, 74 Bangla, Char Imli, Shamla Hills, Boat Club, Bhadbhada to Suraj Nagar, Smart Park Road, Doordarshan to Polytechnic, Banganga, Link Road numbers 1, 2 & 3, Roshanpura to Nanke Petrol Pump, various areas of M.P. Nagar, near Sair Sapata, J.K. Road, D-Mart to Hinotiya, Arif Nagar Bridge, Kerwa Dam Road, Kolar Road, Bairagarh Market, Lalghati to Halalpur, 80 Feet Road Ashoka Garden, Arvind Vihar, Vidya Nagar, and Hoshangabad Road.

Coordination with Other Departments

In addition to its own efforts, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation is actively coordinating with other departments such as M.P. P.W.D., National Highways Authority, and B.H.E.L. to carry out the repair and maintenance of the city's street lights. This collaboration ensures an uninterrupted lighting system throughout Bhopal.
