Municipal Corporation Cracks Down on Road Encroachment

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has intensified its campaign against city-wide littering and rule violations. In a recent operation, corporation personnel took action against 11 individuals for obstructing traffic by placing building construction materials on the road, collecting a total of ₹31,000 in spot fines.

This action was carried out under the directives of Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, whose goal is to further improve the city's sanitation system. The health department's staff are continuously monitoring sanitation arrangements.

Inspection and Fines on Vidisha Road

During a routine inspection on Wednesday, staff from Zone No. 17 surveyed Vidisha Road and the Raslakhedi area in Ward No. 73. It was discovered that numerous individuals had spread their construction materials directly onto the road, causing not only litter but also significant inconvenience to passersby.

The corporation's team treated this encroachment seriously and initiated immediate action. The construction materials blocking the road were removed, and 11 separate cases resulted in spot fines totalling ₹31,000 against the offenders for violating regulations. This action serves as a clear message to those who create disarray by encroaching on public spaces.

Emphasis on Cleanliness and Traffic Flow

Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain emphasized that maintaining cleanliness and smooth traffic flow in the city is a top priority. She has instructed all relevant departments to deal strictly with such encroachers and ensure that no materials are placed on the roads that impede public movement.

These types of actions will continue in the future to keep the city clean and organized.
