Smooth Market Access for Diwali Celebrations

Bhind city will witness improved traffic management during the upcoming Diwali festival, with a significant decision taken to ease movement in markets. Following directives from Collector Pawan Jain, a coordination meeting chaired by Additional Collector Rajan B Nadia agreed to open the temporary concrete divider at Parade Chowk for two-wheeler traffic during the festival period.

This move is expected to bring considerable relief to citizens and traders accessing the main market. The decision came after the Traders Association highlighted the difficulties caused by the divider, which was negatively impacting businesses.

Focus on Festive Crowd Management

Rajan B Nadia stated that managing the natural increase in city crowds during Diwali is a primary responsibility of the administration. He emphasized that after the festival, a joint team led by the Collector and Superintendent of Police will conduct a detailed inspection of the main market.

This inspection will identify suitable locations for signals and barricades to implement a permanent traffic management system. The aim is to streamline traffic flow and enhance convenience for shoppers and businesses alike.

Strict Action Against Encroachments

The administration has issued clear instructions prohibiting any street vendors or handcarts from setting up in front of shops in the main market area. Immediate challan action will be taken against any such encroachments.

The meeting was attended by City Superintendent of Police Niranjan Singh Rajput, Municipal Corporation CMO Virendra Chakravarti, Traffic In-charge Raghavendra Bhargav, and several office bearers of the Traders Association. The administration has appealed to the city residents for their full cooperation in maintaining a peaceful and smooth system to ensure a prosperous festival for all.
