Bhind Patwaris Launch Indefinite Strike, Threaten Mass Leave if Demands Unheard in 7 Days

Ongoing Protest for Pending Demands

Bhind, Madhya Pradesh - Patwaris in the Bhind district have commenced an indefinite protest at the Tehsil office, demanding the immediate resolution of their long-pending five-point charter of demands.

Under the banner of the Madhya Pradesh Patwari Sangh (District Bhind), the protesting Patwaris have issued a stern warning: if their demands are not addressed within seven days, they will resort to a mass leave.

Memorandum Submitted to Authorities

Led by District President Vinayak Singh Tomar and District Secretary Saurabh Bhadauria, a memorandum has been submitted to the Chief Minister and the Collector. The memorandum prominently features demands for a cadre review and timely promotions/grade pay.

The Patwaris insist that the cadre review proposal, which has been pending at the government level, should be implemented without delay. Furthermore, they are requesting the prompt approval of grade pay equivalent to the promotion post until actual promotion is granted.

Concerns Over Departmental Exams and Dues

The Patwaris have also voiced concerns regarding the departmental examination for the Naib Tehsildar post. This examination has been conducted only once in the last 25 years, in 2018.

The Sangh urges for the swift re-organization of this departmental exam, with a syllabus entirely focused on revenue subjects. Additionally, a demand has been raised to include Patwaris under the Judge Protection Act.

Call for Immediate Payment of Dues

Another significant demand pertains to the immediate payment of long-pending honorariums for various government schemes. These include the Ownership Scheme, Agricultural Census, Minor Irrigation Census, and Farmer ID Camp.

The Patwaris have made it clear that if the pending honorarium payments are not disbursed, they will boycott upcoming schemes. This unified stance underscores the seriousness of their demands.

Commitment to Continued Protest

A large number of Patwaris from the district were present during the protest, demonstrating strong solidarity. Notable among them were working district president Prabhakar Narwariya, Dinkar Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Rajnish Dixit, Saurabh Bhadauria, Dharmendra Pippal, Anuj, Pallavi Sharma, Savita Sengar, Purva, and Rekha.

The organization has affirmed that this protest will continue until their key demands are met. The solidarity shown reflects the collective resolve of the Patwaris.
