Joint Anti-Encroachment Drive Targets Key Commercial Hubs

Bhind City experienced a comprehensive anti-encroachment drive on Monday, conducted by a joint team of the Municipal Corporation and Traffic Police. The operation aimed to make city roads smoother and traffic more fluid, focusing on major commercial zones.

During the action, illegal goods, temporary stalls, counters, and banners/posters placed on footpaths, public pathways, and outside shops were strictly removed. This administrative action caused a stir among local shopkeepers.

Leadership and Scope of the Operation

The campaign was led by **Tehsildar Mohanlal Sharma**, **Municipal CMO Virendra Chakravarty**, and **Traffic In-charge Raghuwendra Bhargav**. The operation covered highly congested areas of the city, including Khanda Road, Sabzi Mandi, Station Road, Pustak Bazar, and Sadar Bazar.

To remove the encroachments, the Municipal Corporation deployed JCBs, tractors, and dumpers. Confiscated items were loaded onto these vehicles and transported away. Key personnel present during the drive included Revenue Inspector Divya Yadav, Assistant Revenue Inspector Ramnaresh Rajak, along with Vinu Chauhan and Vikram Soni.

Security and Enforcement

A heavy police force was deployed to maintain law and order during the operation. Encroachment supervisors Monu, Amardeep, Bhagirath, and Bhagwan Singh, along with their teams, ensured the sanitation and removal process.

Future Crackdown and Warnings Issued

Following the campaign, Municipal CMO Virendra Chakravarty issued a clear message emphasizing that streamlining traffic is the administration's priority. He stated, 'This action will not be limited to a single day but will continue as an ongoing anti-encroachment campaign in the future.'

Shopkeepers were issued a stern warning to keep their merchandise within the designated limits of their shops. If encroachments are found again on footpaths or public pathways in the future, not only will goods be confiscated, but legal and punitive action will also be taken against the concerned shopkeepers.

The administration's focus is on making the city encroachment-free and ensuring unobstructed movement for citizens. Local traders have been appealed to conduct their business within their allotted spaces to maintain smooth traffic flow in the city.
