Grand Ganesh Utsav in Bhagwatiganj Concludes with Massive Feast

The grand Ganesh Utsav, organized by the Shri Shri 108 Shri Ganesh Puja Samiti at the Shri Bagia Baba Temple in Bhagwatiganj, Balrampur, will conclude on September 23 with a massive community feast. This nine-day festival has featured various religious and cultural programs, attracting a large number of devotees.

Daily Devotion and Special Guests

The committee's president, Ravindra Gupta Kamlapuri, stated that a significant number of devotees are participating daily in the morning and evening Aarti of Lord Ganpati at the temple. Vinay Kumar Mishra, co-convener of the Avadh region of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), also attended this religious ceremony.

Cultural Competitions and Mahaprasad

As part of the Ganesh Utsav, diverse cultural competitions including quiz, drama, painting, writing, and art were held on September 18. A special Mahasnan (Grand Purification Bath) event is scheduled for September 19. The festival's highlight will be on September 20, when a special 'Mahabhog' Laddu weighing over 51 kilograms will be offered to Lord Ganesha.

Dandiya and Grand Procession

On September 20, a lively Dandiya event will also take place, with devotees enthusiastically participating. The grand procession and immersion ceremony are set for September 21. This procession will commence from Bhagwatiganj, traverse various city routes, and culminate at Sisai Ghat for the traditional immersion of the idol in the Rapti River.

Immersion Ceremony and Community Participation

During the immersion, priest Jai Narayan Sharma, Omprakash Gupta, patron Praveen Gupta, Atul Gaurav, Akhilesh Gupta, Aditya Gupta, along with several committee officials and distinguished citizens, are expected to be present. All devotees have collectively participated in devotional singing and Aarti.

Conclusion with Community Feast

The Ganesh Utsav will be formally concluded with a grand community feast scheduled to commence at 12:00 PM on September 23. This feast is expected to continue as long as 'Prasad' (blessed food) is available, with devotees from far and wide partaking in it. Immense enthusiasm is evident among the devotees throughout this entire event.
