Preparations Underway for Grand Procession

Preparations have commenced in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, to make the upcoming 77th Vijayadashami Shobha Yatra a grand and historic event. The city witnessed a significant meeting of the Sanatan Dharma Sabha, where a detailed roadmap was prepared to ensure the procession is more organized and memorable.

A key discussion point was the proposal to increase the height of the Ravana effigy to 60 feet, which was considered with seriousness. During the meeting, the Sanatan Dharma Sabha also constituted its new executive committee.

New Leadership Appointed

Sanjay Sharma, former General Secretary, was unanimously elected to the post of President, filling the vacancy left by the demise of the late Keval Krishan Sharma. Additionally, Ramesh Pahwa was appointed Senior General Secretary, and Sanjay Kumar Shukla took on the responsibilities of General Secretary. These appointments are expected to bring a new direction to the organization.

Route Modifications and Security Measures

Due to the ongoing construction of a railway overbridge in the city, some necessary changes will be made to the traditional route of the Shobha Yatra this year. Senior Vice President of the Sabha, Advocate Gomti Prasad Tripathi, stated that these modifications aim to ensure the event proceeds smoothly without any disruptions.

The security and convenience of devotees will be given the highest priority. The organizing committee has also pledged to implement robust security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents.

Honoring Historical Tradition

Sabha officials emphasized that this Vijayadashami Shobha Yatra, a tradition spanning over seven decades, is an integral part of Balrampur's cultural identity. This year's event is set to be special in many ways to make it even more memorable.

Suggestions from esteemed individuals such as Chief Patron Maharaja Jayendra Pratap Singh, Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh, and Advocate Rajkumar Lal Srivastava were incorporated into the event plan. At the conclusion of the meeting, all members paid tribute to the late President, Babu Keval Krishan Sharma, with a moment of silence.

Active Preparations Underway

Members including Raghunath Agarwal, Ajay Mishra, Sunil Kasera, and Rakesh Sharma are actively involved in preparations to ensure the success of the event. The committee has resolved to complete all necessary arrangements in a timely manner, aiming to make this event a significant milestone in the city's history.
