Road Damaged by Drain Floods

In the village of Chain Benkatwa, within the Pachpedwa development block of Balrampur district, the main kharanja road has been severely damaged due to excessive water flow in the Bhanwar drain during the monsoon season.

A significant portion of the road has been washed away, causing considerable daily commuting difficulties for local residents. Following news reports highlighting this serious issue, the local administration has taken action.

Administrative Response and Repair Plan

The Block Development Officer of Pachpedwa has confirmed that the necessary estimate for the repair of the damaged road has been prepared. Currently, waterlogging persists on the road, posing a technical obstacle to commencing repair work.

According to administrative officials, repair work will commence immediately as soon as the water from the Bhanwar drain subsides and the waterlogging issue is completely resolved. Officials emphasized that ensuring the safety and smooth commute of villagers is the administration's highest priority, and all necessary steps are being taken.

Villagers are currently awaiting the receding water levels and the start of construction work. They anticipate permanent relief from their commuting problems once the repairs are completed. The administration has assured the villagers that there will be no negligence in carrying out the work.
