Intensive Traffic Checking Campaign Conducted in Mehgaon
In a significant crackdown on traffic rule violations, administrative officials in the Kanathar area of Mehgaon police station, Bhind district, conducted a comprehensive checking campaign. Led by Executive Magistrate Mrs. Srishti Dubey, the operation resulted in 65 vehicles being challaned, with a total of ₹69,900 in fines collected.
Objective: Enhancing Road Safety and Awareness
The primary objective of this campaign was to significantly boost awareness among vehicle drivers regarding traffic regulations and to ensure strict adherence to safety standards on the roads. Violators were immediately stopped and addressed for infractions.
Common Violations Addressed
During the intensive checking, drivers found to be violating traffic rules were promptly stopped. Common violations included:
- Driving without a seatbelt
- Failure to wear a helmet
- Overloading of vehicles
- Incomplete insurance formalities
Strict Action Taken Against Violators
Executive Magistrate Mrs. Srishti Dubey personally led the campaign, accompanied by Baraso police station in-charge Shailendra Rawat, and several officers from Mehgaon police station, including SI Manoj Rawat, Ajay Yadav, Surendra Shukla, Pankaj Shriwas, and Santosh Bhadoria, along with other police personnel. Each driver found in violation was not only required to pay the fine on the spot but also received strict instructions to adhere to traffic laws rigorously in the future.
