Yogi Showers Flower Petals on Kanwariyas: Respecting Faith, Strictness on Disruption

CM Yogi Adityanath Welcomes Kanwariyas with Flower Petals in Meerut

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warmly welcomed Kanwariyas during their pilgrimage in Meerut by showering flower petals from a helicopter. He emphasized that the state government's top priority is to provide a safe, convenient, and organized environment for the devotees to complete their holy journey without hindrance.

He stressed that religious events are not only being respected but also enhanced in grandeur, while reiterating that no compromise will be tolerated on law and order. CM Yogi Adityanath detailed the extensive arrangements made across the state for the Kanwar Yatra, focusing on cleanliness, adequate drinking water, emergency medical aid, enhanced security, and smooth traffic management.

Administrative and police officials have been clearly instructed to maintain continuous monitoring of Kanwar routes and ensure no inconvenience is caused to the devotees.

Confluence of Faith and Administrative Preparedness

The Chief Minister expressed his deep respect and welcome for the Shiv devotees by showering flower petals from a helicopter on major Kanwar routes in western Uttar Pradesh. This unique initiative adds dignity to the religious and festive nature of the journey, showcasing administrative sensitivity alongside religious significance.

This year, more comprehensive arrangements than ever before have been made for the Kanwar Yatra across the state, incorporating modern technology. The Chief Minister highlighted that the current government has fostered an environment where devotees can celebrate their festivals with complete freedom and security.

He contrasted this with the past, where concerns were often raised about religious events and the use of DJs. Now, the government openly welcomes Shiv devotees and fully respects their faith.

Observance of Faith with Discipline

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly emphasized that while the freedom of faith is paramount, discipline and adherence to the law are equally important. He firmly stated that any form of hooliganism, disturbance, or attempt to disrupt law and order during the Kanwar Yatra will not be tolerated.

The administration has been directed to take strict action against individuals found indulging in such activities. He underscored that the Kanwar Yatra symbolizes the deep faith of millions of Hindus and that it is the administration's utmost duty to ensure the journey is completed peacefully and harmoniously, without any hardship for the devotees.

Special vigilance has been ordered for police and administrative teams in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents.

Coordination of Grandeur, Tradition, and Security

Unprecedented arrangements have been made for the Kanwar Yatra in Uttar Pradesh this year, with special facilities developed along the main routes in western Uttar Pradesh, which witness the highest number of Kanwariyas. Continuous monitoring of routes is being conducted with police forces and advanced surveillance technologies.

Additional security forces have been deployed in sensitive and highly sensitive areas. Temporary camps have been established along the routes for the rest, food, and drinking water of the Kanwariyas. Dedicated health department teams are also active to provide immediate assistance in case of any medical emergency.

The administration's primary objective is to ensure that long-distance pilgrims do not face any inconvenience or trouble en route.

Government's Two-Pronged Message on Faith and Law and Order

The welcome extended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through flower showers conveys the state government's clear policy towards religious events. On one hand, the government prioritizes the welcome, convenience, and security of Shiv devotees, respecting their deep faith. On the other hand, it clearly communicates its firm stance on maintaining law and order.

The Chief Minister reiterated that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands in the name of faith. He stated that the state government's intention is for the Kanwar Yatra to be conducted in a completely peaceful and disciplined manner.

He instructed administrative officials that any laxity in arrangements related to the convenience and security of devotees will not be tolerated at any level. Thus, through the symbolic act of showering flowers, the Chief Minister not only greeted the Shiv devotees but also sent a clear message that religious faith will be fully respected in Uttar Pradesh, but adherence to law and discipline will also be absolutely mandatory.
