Demand Letter for Regularization Submitted to Union Minister

During the foundation stone laying ceremony for theme road beautification held at Pratap Hostel Ground in Union on September 18, 2026, the District Co-Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rajesh Sahu, handed over a detailed demand letter to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia concerning the issues faced by temporary employees working in urban local bodies.

The letter raised the demand for the regularization of employees who have been providing their services for years. The submitted memorandum highlighted that several temporary employees appointed until 2016 have been continuously serving for the past 15 to 17 years.

Employees Facing Hardship Due to Low Wages

Despite their long service, these workers are still receiving only the minimum wage at the collectorate rate, making it a significant challenge to support their families. The letter urged the government to issue the necessary orders for the regularization or regulation of all workers appointed until 2016.

Appeal for an End to Economic and Mental Exploitation

Presenting his arguments, Rajesh Sahu stated that the regularization of employees would put an end to their economic and mental exploitation, enabling them to live better lives. He urged the Union Minister to pay immediate attention to this serious issue.

Union Minister Assures Appropriate Action

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia received the demand letter with utmost seriousness and understood the plight of the employees. He has positively assured that appropriate action will be taken on this matter. This assurance has ignited hope among the employees for the fulfillment of their demands.

Senior officials, including the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Dharmendra Singh Sikarwar, and other senior office bearers and distinguished citizens, were present during this important meeting. Those present at the event welcomed the initiative, deeming it a necessary step for the future of the employees.
