Government Departments Under Scrutiny During Unannounced Inspection

In a series of surprise inspections under the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan in Jhabua district's Jhaknavda, Additional Collector C.S. Solanki conducted a tour on Friday to assess the ground reality of various government institutions.

The inspection covered PM Shri schools, Anganwadi centers, the Primitive Tribe Service Cooperative Society, and the Community Health Center. Wherever deficiencies were found, concerned officials and staff were given immediate instructions for rectification.

Additional Collector Solanki did not limit his assessment to paperwork but personally visited the institutions to understand the actual situation. He directly interacted with students, villagers, patients, and staff to gather information on the ground implementation of government schemes and facilities.

The primary objective of this inspection was to improve the quality of government services and ensure that benefits reach eligible beneficiaries on time.

Focus on Student Education at PM Shri Schools

Additional Collector Solanki visited the integrated PM Shri High Secondary School and PM Shri Boys Primary School in Jhaknavda. He inquired about student attendance, staff registers, classroom conditions, academic activities, and the overall arrangements within the schools.

During his visit, he interacted with the young children in the nursery class, listening to their poems and asking general knowledge questions. He praised their satisfactory responses and confidence, encouraging them further.

Addressing the teachers, he emphasized the importance of strengthening foundational education and fostering self-confidence in children. He stated that education should not be confined to the curriculum but should be a medium for the holistic development of children.

Present at the occasion were Sankul Principal Ramesh Kumar Chaurasia, Hemendra Kumar Joshi, Monu Solanki, Deepika Chauhan, Arti Mistri, Harshita Goyal, Khushi Rathore, Nisha Ninama, Rupali Bairagi, Sheetal Goswami, and other school staff.

Review of Nutrition and Electrical Systems at Anganwadi

Subsequently, the Additional Collector inspected an Anganwadi center. He gathered information on children's attendance, available facilities, and the food arrangements.

He questioned the Anganwadi worker about the food being provided to children according to the prescribed menu and also reviewed the attendance register. During the inspection, a problem related to the electrical system at the center came to light.

The Additional Collector instructed the concerned officials to immediately improve the electricity supply. He stressed that Anganwadi centers must provide high-quality nutrition and necessary facilities to children as per government intentions, and any negligence in arrangements would not be tolerated.

Transparency and Farmer Welfare Paramount at Cooperative Society

Additional Collector Solanki also inspected the Primitive Tribe Service Cooperative Society in Jhaknavda. He obtained details about the society's functioning, the facilities provided to farmers and villagers, and the effective implementation of government schemes.

He reviewed the arrangements by gathering essential information from the salesman. Officials were directed to ensure that villagers and farmers face no obstacles in accessing the benefits of the schemes.

Emphasis was placed on maintaining the society's operations transparent and well-organized, along with ensuring respectful behavior towards villagers. The Additional Collector stated that it is the primary responsibility of the concerned officials to ensure that benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries on time, and no beneficiary has to make unnecessary visits to offices.

Direct Interaction with Patients and Expansion of Health Facilities at Community Health Center

A significant part of the inspection was the visit to the Jhaknavda Community Health Center. The Additional Collector thoroughly reviewed various sections of the health center, the building's condition, treatment arrangements, and available health facilities.

He spoke directly with patients admitted to the hospital and expectant mothers to understand their problems. He inquired if they were receiving timely treatment, if doctors and health workers were available, if medicines were accessible, and about the behavior of the staff.

Based on the information received from patients, he attempted to understand the actual state of health services. He instructed health department officials and staff to provide the best possible health facilities and to behave sensitively and cooperatively with patients, emphasizing that every patient deserves better treatment and respect.

During the inspection, media representatives presented important health-related needs of Jhaknavda and surrounding rural areas to the Additional Collector. They highlighted the urgent need for an X-ray machine, laboratory facilities for better blood sample testing, and a post-mortem room at the Community Health Center.

Media representatives stated that villagers in the area have to travel to other locations for many essential tests and health services, incurring losses in both time and money. They suggested that expanding these essential tests and other facilities at the Community Health Center could provide significant relief to the people of Jhaknavda and surrounding rural areas.

Additional Collector C.S. Solanki listened to these demands seriously and, understanding the area's needs, assured that efforts would be made for necessary action and improvements at the relevant level.

Public Dialogue and Swift Action Mark the Inspection

This inspection, conducted under the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, was particularly significant due to its people-centric approach. Administrative officials not only reviewed arrangements on paper but also assessed the ground reality.

The inspection provided a detailed overview of arrangements in various crucial departments including education, health, Anganwadi, and cooperation in a single visit. The unannounced inspection by the Additional Collector has increased activity within the respective departments. The immediate directives to address shortcomings identified on-site clarify that the objective of the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan is not just inspection but also to improve the quality of government services and effectively deliver their benefits to actual beneficiaries.
