Strengthening Routine Immunization with U-WIN and eVIN

Farrukhabad | August 2, 2026 – A significant one-day orientation and training program was organized in Farrukhabad district to further strengthen and ensure 100% effectiveness of routine immunization programs. The program was presided over by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Anand Upadhyay.

Held at the auditorium of the Chief Medical Officer's office, the event emphasized the effective operation of the U-WIN (U-WIN) and eVIN (eVIN) portals, the quality of vaccination reporting, and a comprehensive review of the entire program. The ceremony commenced with floral tributes to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.

CMO Directs Enhanced Portal Utilization and Reporting

CMO Dr. Anand Upadhyay instructed the concerned officials to ensure regular review of the U-WIN and eVIN portals. He stated that online reporting of timely registration and vaccination for 100% of beneficiaries is mandatory.

"Ensuring all eligible children receive all necessary vaccines on time under the routine immunization program is the top priority of the health department."

Dr. Upadhyay highlighted that these vaccines provide protection against 12 life-threatening diseases, including Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis-B, and Measles-Rubella.

Special Emphasis on HPV Vaccination

Dr. Anand Upadhyay appealed to all parents in the district to ensure that all eligible girls aged 14 to 15 years are vaccinated with the HPV (HPV) vaccine. He clarified that this vaccine is an effective means of preventing serious diseases like cervical cancer in the future and is being provided completely free of charge by the health department.

Improving Portal Operations and Reporting

The training program was conducted by ACMO (DIO) Dr. Sarvesh Yadav. He provided detailed information on technical aspects such as the beneficiary registration process on the U-WIN and eVIN portals, vaccine stock management, maintaining cold chain arrangements, online reporting, and ensuring data quality.

Dr. Yadav urged all nodal officers to perform their duties with full dedication and efficiency according to the set standards to ensure the effective implementation of the immunization program. All U-WIN and eVIN nodal officers from the district and other healthcare workers associated with the immunization program attended this training.
