Festive Season Crackdown on Adulteration in Bina Ganj

The administration in Bina Ganj has initiated strict action aimed at curbing adulteration during the festive season. A joint team from the Revenue and Food Safety departments has collected samples of mawa, barfi, and other sweets from various confectionery outlets.

These collected samples are being sent to the food testing laboratory for examination. This step is crucial to ensure that consumers receive pure and quality food products. The campaign was conducted under the leadership of Tehsildar (Chanchowda) Renu Kasliwal, following directives from Guna Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal.

The team comprised revenue officials Satendra Singh Gurjar and Kaluram Banjara, along with food safety officers Ravi Shivhare and Navin Jain. The primary objective of this special campaign is to prevent food adulteration that often occurs during the festive period.

Samples Seized from Prominent Sweet Establishments

During this special operation, the team targeted several prominent sweet shops. Samples of milk cake and kesar barfi were collected from the factory of Jodhpur Mishthan Bhandar. Similarly, samples of mawa and malai barfi were seized from Gurukripa Namkeen and Mishthan Bhandar.

Samples of mawa and mawa barfi were taken from Arvind Sweets, while samples of boondi ladoo and mawa peda were collected from Jodhpur Mishthan Bhandar (Neechla Bazar). All these samples are being dispatched for testing.

Following the examination, stringent action will be taken against those found guilty of adulteration. Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal has instructed for continuous monitoring of food vendors during the festive season and has emphasized taking strict measures against those involved in adulteration.

The administration is prioritizing the provision of pure and quality food items to the general public. The process of inspection and sampling of food establishments across the district will continue in the coming days to completely curb adulteration. Local traders have also been directed to adhere to quality standards.
