Elderly Man Drowns in Pond in Sirsi Police Station Area
Sirsi Police Station Area, Guna: In a tragic incident in Majhola village on Monday, 60-year-old Amar Singh, who was reportedly mentally unwell, drowned in a village pond. He is believed to have slipped and fallen into deep water on Monday evening.
A nearby family spotted his body floating in the pond and alerted villagers via WhatsApp. His family rushed him to the district hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem on Tuesday.
Youth Killed by Train While Crossing Tracks in Cantt Police Station Area
Cantt Police Station Area, Guna: Another life was lost in the Cantt police station area on Monday night around 8 PM. 40-year-old Vijay Sahariya was fatally struck by a train while crossing the railway tracks near the old railway crossing on his way home from work.
The incident has plunged his family into grief, leaving his three young children orphaned. The Cantt police have registered a case of unnatural death and commenced an investigation. Both cases have seen necessary legal procedures completed by the police administration.
The untimely deaths have cast a pall of sorrow over the district. Post-mortems for both victims were conducted at the district hospital on Tuesday before their bodies were released to their families.
