Two Booked for Allegedly Threatening Female Judges in Bhind

FIR Against Bar Association President and Advocate for Threatening Female Judges

Bhind, Madhya Pradesh: An FIR has been lodged against Vineet Mishra, the President of the District Bar Association, and another advocate, Saurabh Mishra, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district. The charges stem from allegations of obstruction, verbal abuse, and intimidation of female judges.

The action was initiated following a complaint received from judicial officers through the District and Sessions Judge. Police sources indicated that the Dehat police station received a letter from the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bhind, on July 30, 2026, via the Superintendent of Police office.

Judicial Officers Detail Allegations

The complaint letter included separate grievances from Nidhi Nishant Shrivastava, First Class Judicial Magistrate (Senior Division), and Munmun Singh Sharma, Judicial Magistrate (Junior Division). Both alleged that on July 28, 2026, Vineet Mishra and Saurabh Mishra jointly blocked their path and engaged in inappropriate conduct.

In their complaints, the two female judicial officers provided detailed accounts, stating that the advocates not only obstructed them but also used objectionable language and issued threats. Following the incident, the judges individually informed the Principal District and Sessions Judge and sought appropriate legal action.

Police Initiate Investigation

Upon reviewing the complaints, the Principal District and Sessions Judge forwarded them to the Superintendent of Police for necessary action. Following directives from the Superintendent of Police office, the Dehat police station investigated both complaints and available preliminary evidence.

Finding prima facie evidence of an offense, the police decided to register an FIR under sections 126(2) and 296(B) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. The Dehat police station confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings will be determined based on the examination of all evidence, relevant documents, and statements from the involved parties. The police have assured a fair investigation and appropriate action thereafter.
