Traders Boycott Meeting Over Official Absence, Express Fury

In Etawah, a meeting of the Trader Security Cell held at the Collectorate's new auditorium on Tuesday turned chaotic. Office bearers from various trade organizations expressed deep dissatisfaction over the absence of officials from concerned departments and the delayed start of the meeting.

In protest against this administrative indifference, traders collectively boycotted the meeting and directly proceeded to the District Magistrate's office to voice their grievances. Traders allege that their problems have been repeatedly raised in Trader Security Cell meetings, but officials from relevant departments are neither present on time nor appear serious about resolving their issues.

Merchants Mobilize Against Official Arbitrariness

A large group of traders, led by Krishna Murari Gupta, District President of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Sadashiv Srivastava, District General Secretary, Dharmendra Jain, District General Secretary of the All India Udyog Vyapar Mandal, and Santosh Chauhan, District President of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal, boycotted the meeting. Following this, all office bearers and traders arrived at the office of District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla, where they detailed their problems and demands.

District Magistrate Shubhrant Kumar Shukla listened attentively to the traders' complaints and assured them that the mandatory presence of officials from all concerned departments would be ensured at the Vyapar Bandhu meeting scheduled for July 23. He stated that resolving traders' problems is a top priority for the administration and that future meetings will be made more organized and result-oriented.

Warning of Future Agitation

A significant number of traders were present during this protest and meeting boycott, including women's district president Archana Kushwaha, Linepar president Anju Yadav, Ranjeet Singh Kushwaha, Yameen Rinku Chaudhary, Ikrar Ahmed, Shivsharan Gupta, Dr. A.K. Tiwari, Meera Tiwari, Rinku Yadav, Vineet Pandey, Idrees, Sardar Mohan Singh, Sunita Kushwaha, Gagan Porwal, Subhash Gupta, Ram Kumar Gupta, Hari Gopal Shukla, Vinod Jain, Umesh Verma, Anju Thakur, and Sushil Yadav. The trade organizations have made it clear that if the administration continues to show a lack of seriousness in resolving their issues in the future, they will be compelled to consider strategies for a wider agitation.
