In anticipation of the upcoming festive season, a crucial meeting was convened for local firecracker vendors in Mehgaon, Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh. The meeting, held at the Mehgaon Police Station premises and presided over by Station House Officer Ravindra Sharma, aimed to ensure strict adherence to safety standards during the firecracker business and prevent any untoward incidents.

Prominent firecracker vendors from the region were present and listened attentively to the safety directives issued by the police administration. They assured their full compliance with the stipulated guidelines.

Designated Sales Locations and Access Management

During the meeting, Station House Officer Ravindra Sharma emphasized the Municipal Council's directives, clarifying that vendors must set up their stalls only in pre-identified and approved locations. He stressed that no vendor would be permitted to set up shop arbitrarily or without proper authorization.

Regular checks will be conducted to ensure the availability and functionality of this safety equipment. Furthermore, specific instructions were given regarding electrical arrangements, mandating extreme caution with temporary wiring to prevent incidents like short circuits. Loose wires or faulty connections can be fire hazards, necessitating heightened vigilance.

Each shop's electrical supply will be inspected, and action will be taken if it does not meet the required standards. The sale and use of carbide guns have been completely banned in the area. Carbide guns are often used dangerously by children and uninformed individuals, leading to severe injuries.

The police administration made it clear that vendors violating these rules will face stringent legal action. These restrictions are aimed at ensuring the safety of the general public, especially children.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Station House Officer Ravindra Sharma sternly warned all firecracker vendors that non-compliance with safety regulations or unauthorized stall placement would lead to punitive action. He clarified that such cases could result not only in fines but also in the sealing of shops.
