Sanitation Awareness Meeting in Bhagwatiganj

An awareness meeting was organized on Station Road in the Bhagwatiganj area of Balrampur town, with a special focus on educating local residents about sanitation. The meeting was presided over by social worker and Councillor Sanjay Kumar Mishra. The primary objective of the program was to inspire the general public to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings as part of their civic duties.

During the meeting, Councillor Sanjay Mishra appealed to the attending citizens not to throw garbage on the roads and to prevent the accumulation of filth in public drains. He stressed that keeping one's environment clean is the duty of every citizen. Mishra explained that dirt is a major source of diseases and that a healthy society can only be built by making cleanliness an integral part of one's lifestyle. His aim is to ensure better sanitation in the area and provide well-maintained roads to the citizens.

Waste Management and Health Interconnected

Councillor Sanjay Kumar Mishra detailed the importance of waste management to the citizens. He stated that when garbage is thrown on roads or in drains, it not only pollutes the environment but also becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other germs. These germs cause many serious diseases like dengue, malaria, typhoid, and diarrhea, which are extremely harmful, especially to the health of children and the elderly.

Mishra illustrated with examples how a small oversight, such as improper waste disposal, can negatively impact the health of the entire community. He urged that dry and wet waste generated from each household should be collected separately and disposed of only at locations designated by the municipality. If this is not possible, at least the garbage should be collected in such a way that it does not spread around with wind or rain.

The Councillor emphasized that this is a collective responsibility and that only when all citizens actively participate will Bhagwatiganj become a clean and healthy area. The citizens pledged their active participation in the sanitation campaign.

Public Participation Vowed in Sanitation Campaign

Sanitation Inspector Sudhakar Pandey was also present at this important meeting. In addition to him, several distinguished individuals attended, including Ramesh Sahu, Amit Anuwal, Arun Agarwal, Suman Yadav, Piyush Goyal, Harshit Agarwal, Nitish Jaiswal, Munna Maurya, Sayed Ghulam Ahmed, Lakshminarayan Mishra, Vimal Shumel, Manit Goyal, Rajesh Mishra, and Devendra Mishra.

A large number of local people participated enthusiastically in the meeting and collectively pledged to keep their neighborhood clean. This coordination between the administration and the public is being seen as a positive and commendable initiative towards sanitation in the area. This initiative will not only clean the environment but will also help curb diseases, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Citizens voluntarily promised to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas. This demonstrates that the general public is now more aware of the cleanliness of their surroundings, and such events are showing a positive impact.
