SSB Conducts Free Medical Camp in Border Village

The Ninth Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) organized a free medical camp on Tuesday in the border village of Nakinia, located in the Balrampur district. This initiative, part of a civic action program, aimed to bring essential medical facilities to residents of border areas and build rapport with the local community.

The primary goal was to care for the health of local residents and offer vital medical advice, particularly to those who often lack access to healthcare services. The camp operated under the guidance of Commandant Manoranjan Kumar Pandey and was overseen by Assistant Commandant Dr. Arun Chaudhary.

Medical Check-ups and Free Medicines Provided

A medical team examined a total of 90 villagers, comprising 51 men, 33 women, and six children. Following the examinations, all beneficiaries received free medications tailored to their specific needs, with the aim of improving their health conditions.

The camp ensured that each individual received appropriate medicines, contributing to their recovery and well-being. This distribution underscores the SSB's commitment to providing accessible healthcare solutions.

Focus on Disease Prevention and Hygiene

During the camp, SSB doctors emphasized the importance of maintaining personal hygiene among the villagers. They also encouraged adopting a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle to promote overall wellness.

Specific guidance was provided on preventing infectious diseases common during the monsoon season and on basic first aid measures. Doctors explained how maintaining cleanliness can ward off numerous illnesses. They offered crucial advice on avoiding seasonal ailments like dengue, malaria, and other water-borne diseases.

Community Cooperation and SSB's Role

The village head, Sonu Singh, collaborated in organizing this health camp. He encouraged villagers to utilize the benefits of the camp and assisted in its smooth execution.
