Security Dialogue Concludes, Meritorious Students Honored in Bhind

Bhind, October 31, 2026 – The 'Public Security and Youth Creation Dialogue Campaign' concluded at the Bhind Police Control Room, coinciding with National Unity Day and the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During a solemn ceremony, Senior Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma honored 30 meritorious students with certificates for their active role in the campaign.

This campaign was a joint initiative by the Community Policing Branch of the Madhya Pradesh Police and the Higher Education Department. Its primary objective was to educate the youth about security, law, and civic responsibilities. The campaign included a two-day workshop held on October 23 and 24, 2026, at MJS PG College.

During the workshop, students engaged in in-depth discussions on the importance of security, their constitutional rights, and their role in society through various sessions. Participants contributed to constructive dialogue on security challenges and mitigation strategies, enhancing their knowledge and awareness.

Following the workshop, participants were given tours of the City and Dehat police stations. Here, they received practical insights into police operations, the Dial-112 service, and new Indian laws. The aim of these visits was to familiarize the youth with the intricacies of ground-level policing and to address any misconceptions they might have about the police force.

Fostering Police-Youth Coordination

Addressing the youth, Senior Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma stated that the program serves not only as an award ceremony but also as a bridge between the youth and the police. He emphasized the initiative's value in understanding modern topics such as women and child safety, cyber fraud, digital arrests, and e-FIRs, which are crucial for every citizen in the digital age.

Verma described this dialogue as a powerful medium for developing a sense of responsible citizenship among the youth, making them more sensitive and active towards society. He added that such dialogues will continue in the future to ensure the younger generation actively participates in nation-building.

He believes that by channeling the energy and innovation of the youth in the right direction, positive societal changes can be brought about. This campaign is a significant step in this direction, inspiring youth to develop leadership skills and contribute to solving community problems. Several professors from the education department and police officers, including Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, DSP Ajay Kumar Singh Panwar, CSP Niranjan Rajput, SDOP Ravindra Vaskale, Principal Dr. Sunil Tripathi, Dr. Ravikant Singh, Dr. Sudha Narwariya, and Dr. Mohit Dubey, were present at the felicitation ceremony.

This initiative marks a crucial step towards establishing better coordination between the police and the youth, moving towards the creation of a safer and more aware society. This program will prove instrumental in strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and the general public.
