Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Maya Narolia from Madhya Pradesh met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay (C. Joseph Vijay) in Chennai. The courtesy call occurred during an official study tour by a Parliamentary Standing Committee.
During the meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, both leaders discussed various contemporary, public interest, and development-oriented issues. This interaction is seen as a significant step towards inter-state coordination and development planning, with members of the parliamentary committee also in attendance.

Following the meeting, Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Maya Narolia highlighted the importance of parliamentary study tours. Both sides shared positive views on various regional development action plans during the meeting. Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay provided information on development projects underway in Tamil Nadu, while MP Narolia discussed points for necessary cooperation and coordination concerning Madhya Pradesh.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating national development through mutual understanding and cooperation. They particularly focused on areas requiring greater inter-state coordination, such as infrastructure development, water management, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
