Awareness Programs Held for Nutrition Month

In Guna, the Department of Women and Child Development is organizing awareness programs as part of Nutrition Month, with the primary objective of eradicating malnutrition at its roots. In line with this initiative, a special session was held at the Anganwadi center in Haripur Road, Budhe Balaji Sector of the urban project.

During this session, pregnant and lactating mothers were informed about the significance of a nutritious diet. The organization Seva Bharti Prant also actively participated in this program. Sector Supervisor Rachna Sharma addressed the attendees, emphasizing the benefits of consuming a balanced and complete diet during pregnancy.

She further elaborated that both the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments are committed to eliminating malnutrition and are consistently running special campaigns in this direction. Supervisor Sharma detailed the advantages of incorporating green, yellow, and white nutritious foods into daily meals for malnutrition eradication.

She highlighted that awareness about nutrition is the most effective way to combat malnutrition. The aim of this session was to provide women with crucial nutritional information, enabling them to improve their own health and that of their children. Emphasis was placed on collective participation to ensure the government's efforts towards a malnutrition-free India are successful at the grassroots level.

The department also clarified that such awareness events will continue uninterrupted with the objective of improving local health standards.
