Narmadapuram Municipality to Host 'Vande Mataram' and National Anthem Recital Monthly
Narmadapuram Municipality will now hold monthly 'Vande Mataram' and National Anthem recitals on the first working day to foster national spirit.

Monthly National Recital Initiative Launched
The Narmadapuram Municipality will now organize recitals of 'Vande Mataram' and the National Anthem on the first working day of every month. This initiative aims to promote national sentiment and strengthen patriotism.
The inaugural ceremony of this solemn event, to be held at the Municipal Office premises, will commence on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10 AM. This program will be held on the first date of each month. If the first date falls on a public holiday, the event will be conducted on the subsequent working day.
Promoting National Pride and Participation
To foster national pride, representatives of the MLA, all municipal officers and employees, chairpersons, councillors, and aldermen have been cordially invited to participate in this event. Such programs are being organized nationwide to commemorate the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram', aiming to connect citizens with the song's revolutionary spirit and awaken patriotic feelings.
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, aims to present a grand national patriotic chorus of over 100 million voices in the 'Vande Mataram 150' celebration. This monthly event by the Narmadapuram Municipality will serve as a medium to express respect for the National Anthem and 'Vande Mataram'.
Strengthening Unity and National Identity
The objective is not only to inspire patriotic fervor but also to strengthen unity and national identity among government employees and local representatives. This initiative underscores the importance of national symbols like the National Anthem and 'Vande Mataram', considered symbols of the country's freedom struggle and national unity.
This event aligns with government initiatives aimed at promoting patriotism and national pride among citizens. Campaigns like 'Vande Mataram 150', promoted by the Ministry of Culture, are efforts to revive the spirit of nationalism across the country. In this context, the Narmadapuram Municipality's initiative will play a significant role in maintaining this national spirit at the local level.
Ensuring Continuity of the National Spirit
Office Superintendent Yogesh Soni emphasized that this program will be held on the 1st of every month. If, for any reason, the 1st is declared a public holiday, the program will be organized on the next working day to ensure its continuity. This guarantees that the opportunity to express national sentiment is available every month.
