Development Work in Farrukhabad Applauded, Minister Issues Public Welfare Directives

Thakur Jaiveer Singh, the Tourism and Culture Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government, has lauded the district administration's performance after a detailed review of development work and the law and order situation in Farrukhabad district. The minister expressed satisfaction with Farrukhabad being included among the top ten districts in the state for development progress.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of all officials and employees engaged in the district's overall development. Several public representatives, including MLA Major Sunil Dutt Dwivedi (Sadar), MLA Sushil Kumar Shakya (Amritpur), MLA Nagendra Singh Rathore (Bhojpur), MLA Dr. Surabhi (Kaimganj), and BJP District President Fatehchandra Verma, also participated in the significant review meeting held at the Collectorate Auditorium in Fatehgarh.

The event commenced with an observation of an exhibition showcasing government schemes. Subsequently, the minister and other distinguished guests distributed certificates and checks to beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar felicitated the minister by presenting a textile painting as a memento. This exhibition served as a crucial medium to display the implementation of diverse government schemes and their positive impact on beneficiaries.

Emphasis on Effective Implementation of Public Welfare Schemes

During the meeting, Minister Thakur Jaiveer Singh issued clear directives to officials to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach eligible beneficiaries in a transparent and time-bound manner, in line with the government's intent. He stressed the importance of paying special attention to the quality and timelines of ongoing projects to ensure their benefits are promptly available to the public.

The minister also directed that measures be taken to ensure no eligible individual is left out from the benefits of public welfare schemes. It must be ensured that there are no impediments in the implementation of schemes, allowing beneficiaries to fully avail their rightful benefits. Officials were instructed to go to the ground level, understand beneficiaries' problems, and resolve them. Transparency and accountability must be given the highest priority.

Special Focus on Disaster Management and Health Preparedness

While reviewing flood management, the minister stated that contact details of officials deployed in flood-affected areas should be shared with the concerned hamlets. Special instructions were given to the health department to conduct a special campaign in flood-affected areas for child vaccination and the distribution of deworming medication.

It was directed to ensure that preparations are robust from now on to prevent potential communicable diseases after the water recedes, enabling prompt handling of any untoward situation. Special emphasis was placed on controlling waterborne and vector-borne diseases to prevent outbreaks caused by floods. Teams of health workers were instructed to remain active and work in coordination with affected communities.

Call for Public Participation in 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'

Minister Thakur Jaiveer Singh also highlighted the significance of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', scheduled from September 17 to October 17, 2026. The campaign aims to disseminate the achievements of the Prime Minister's twenty-five-year service period to the masses.

He expressed expectations that officials would ensure maximum public participation in this campaign, enabling citizens to connect with the collective resolve for a 'Developed India 2047'. This campaign will inspire citizens to play their role in nation-building. Various activities will be organized under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' to encourage citizens to contribute to the country's progress. Officials were instructed to ensure the campaign's message reaches every citizen.

District Superintendent of Police Mrs. Aarti Singh and Chief Development Officer Vinod Kumar Gaud, along with other senior district officials, were also present at the meeting. This review meeting has paved the way for a clear action plan for upcoming development works and disaster management, which will accelerate the overall development of Farrukhabad. The minister thanked all attending officials and public representatives for their active cooperation and appealed for continued collaborative efforts for the district's progress. This meeting has set a positive direction for Farrukhabad's future.
