Minister Singh Rajput Engages Directly with Citizens in Jaisinagar, Sanctions Rs 2 Crore for Development

Bhopal | August 2, 2026: Madhya Pradesh Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection, Govind Singh Rajput, embarked on a unique initiative on Sunday in Sagar district's Jaisinagar, engaging in direct dialogue with the common public. Eschewing formal events, Minister Rajput walked through the streets, visiting homes to listen to citizens' problems and showing promptness in addressing them.

During his visit, he announced the immediate sanction of Rs 2 crore for various public welfare and development works. Minister Rajput emphasized that a people's representative's duty is not just during elections, but to be present among the public at all times and resolve their issues.

"There are no elections now, nor is there any campaign underway. Surkhi constituency is my home, and every family here is a member of my own family. I have come only to inquire about your well-being and listen to your problems. The public's trust and blessings are my greatest assets," he stated.

The minister further added that a representative's service should not be limited to the election season but should involve participating in the public's joys and sorrows and promptly resolving their issues, which is the true essence of public service.

Inspection of Development Works in the Region

During his visit to Jaisinagar, Minister Govind Singh Rajput also closely inspected various ongoing development works in the area. Informing local residents about the progress, he highlighted that the Sandipani Utkrisht Vidyalaya has been constructed in Jaisinagar at a cost of approximately Rs 40 crore.

Additionally, a grand auditorium costing Rs 7 crore, a college building costing Rs 12 crore, and a bus stand costing Rs 2 crore have also been completed. Furthermore, a 50-bed civil hospital is under construction at a cost of Rs 20 crore, serving as a crucial healthcare facility for the residents. The minister expressed confidence that the completion of this hospital will provide better and more accessible healthcare services to local citizens, significantly improving the availability of health services.

Emphasis on Swift Resolution of Public Issues

Throughout his foot patrol, Minister Rajput paused in each locality, engaging directly with residents. He listened attentively to their grievances and demands, instructing relevant officials that any negligence in resolving public issues would not be tolerated. He stressed the need to ensure that all complaints are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

The minister stated that the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the state government, under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, are primarily focused on ensuring that the benefits of every government scheme reach the last person in line. The government is working with full commitment to make basic facilities such as roads, drinking water, education, health, housing, food grains, and social security accessible to every eligible citizen.

In various wards and localities of Jaisinagar, Minister Govind Singh Rajput received an enthusiastic and heartfelt welcome from local residents. He was honored with shawls, coconuts, garlands, and showers of flowers. Women, youth, senior citizens, and traders expressed their gratitude for the development works in the region and the minister's direct accessibility.

Minister Rajput specifically interacted with children, elders, and women, seriously listening to their suggestions and concerns, which further enhanced the public's trust and sense of belonging towards him.
