A serious case has emerged in the Kotwali Fatehgarh area of Farrukhabad, where a jeweler owner is accused of allegedly holding two minor brothers captive and assaulting them on charges of stealing goods from his shop.
The children's mother has submitted a petition to the Superintendent of Police, pleading for the release of her sons and action against the accused.
Allegations of Theft and Captivity
Preeti Devi, wife of Rajiv Nagar and a resident of Navadiya, stated in her application that her two sons, 16-year-old Akash Nagar and 14-year-old Ayush Nagar, worked at a shop named Unique Jewelers.
Preeti Devi alleges that the shop owner accused both children of stealing items from the establishment. On the morning of August 5, Ayush was allegedly taken from his home to the shop and did not return. Upon searching, family members discovered that his elder brother, Akash, had also allegedly been taken into the shop owner's custody.
Assault and Pressure for Land Deed
The victim further alleged in her complaint that the shop owner brutally beat both minor children. Moreover, the woman claims that in addition to holding the children captive, pressure was also being applied to her family to execute a land deed.
This serious accusation has sent a stir through the local administration. Preeti Devi has demanded that the Superintendent of Police ensure the immediate recovery of both her children, conduct an impartial investigation into the theft allegations, and take strict legal action against the jeweler owner for assault and unlawful detention.
Police Investigation Underway
Regarding the matter, CO City Abhay Verma informed the media that the preliminary investigation has found some truth to the alleged theft incident.
He assured that if the jeweler owner's assault on the children is confirmed, stringent action will be taken against the accused as well. The police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the case to bring the truth to light and ensure justice for the victims.
