Asceticism as the Path to Liberation

On the seventh day of the sacred Daslakshan Mahaparva in Jainism, the observance of 'Uttam Tap Dharma' (Supreme Asceticism) concluded with great fervor in Radhogaarh on September 22, 2026. Addressing the congregation, Jain Muni Shraman Sagar Ji Maharaj noted that worldly beings are perpetually trapped in vices such as envy, anger, revenge, and lust.

The Muni emphasized the importance of asceticism in the journey from the soul to the divine, drawing parallels to transforming butter into ghee and clay into a pot through heat. Just as raw materials require heat for refinement, asceticism is essential for purifying and elevating the soul, leading to inner peace and self-control.

Defining 'Ichha Nirodh: Tap:' (Renunciation of Desires: Asceticism) as the core mantra, the Muni explained that true asceticism lies in relinquishing all worldly desires. He detailed the twelve types of asceticism in Jain philosophy: six internal (penance, humility, service, self-study, meditation, renunciation) and six external (fasting, single-meal eating, nomadic vows, abstaining from specific tastes, physical hardship, sensory restraint).

He stated that sincere adherence to these practices enables the soul to attain right faith, knowledge, and conduct, paving the way for liberation. This renunciation of desires is not merely an external act but a profound purification of the mind, helping individuals transcend material pleasures and experience spiritual truths.

Invitation to Vimanotsav

On this auspicious occasion of 'Uttam Tap Dharma', a delegation from the Radhogaarh Jain community, led by its president Singhai Ashok Kumar Bhardily, met with former minister and local MLA Jayavardhan Singh. The community members presented a heartfelt invitation to the MLA to grace the grand Jain Vimanotsav, scheduled for September 27, as the chief guest.

This Vimanotsav is a significant event celebrating the rich traditions of Jainism, featuring special religious rituals and cultural programs. The community is making special arrangements to ensure the grandeur of the event.

MLA Jayavardhan Singh gladly accepted the community's invitation. He appreciated the spiritual activities and social contributions of the Jain community and confirmed his attendance, expressing that he would feel honored to be part of this important occasion.
