'Nirbhay Divas' Observed in Jabalpur on Omkar Prasad Tiwari's 27th Death Anniversary

Jabalpur observed the 27th death anniversary of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and a strong pillar of the organization in the Mahakoshal region, Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari, as 'Nirbhay Divas'. A large number of representatives from various political parties, public representatives, and local citizens attended the solemn event held in Scheme Number 41 of JDA in Vijay Nagar.

The main highlight of the program was the garlanding of Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari's statue, through which he was remembered. Speakers elaborated on his struggles, unwavering dedication to the party, and his contributions to nurturing the organization. Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey described Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari as a principal cornerstone of the Bharatiya Janata Party's current standing.

He stated that Omkar Maharaj tirelessly strived to strengthen the party in adverse circumstances alongside former Prime Minister Pt. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

MP Dubey assured the reinstallation of Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari's statue at the Damohnaka Chowk in Jabalpur, stating that he is in constant contact with the relevant government departments and expressed hope that the statue would be reinstated to its original location by the next death anniversary.

Commitment to Statue Reinstallation

Addressing the event, Jabalpur Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu described Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari's personality as a continuous source of energy for the workers. He noted that even today, his name instills new consciousness among the party cadres. The Mayor clarified that the statue reinstallation work currently falls under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Nagar Nigam administration is maintaining high-level communication to expedite this task.

The Chairman of the Jabalpur Development Authority (JDA), Sandeep Jain, recalled the challenging period when establishing the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Mahakoshal region was a formidable task. He lauded Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari's strong will and leadership abilities, remarking that it is impossible to imagine today's political landscape without his contributions.

Ratnesh Sonkar, Jabalpur City President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, also pledged to complete the preparations for the statue's installation on a war footing.

Suggestion for an All-Party Committee

During the event, former MLA Vinay Saxena presented a significant suggestion: to form an all-party committee for the reinstallation of statues of both senior leaders, Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari and Dada Baburao Paranjpe. Mr. Saxena argued that this task should transcend party politics, aiming to honor a public servant and ensure its completion with consensus.

A large number of BJP office bearers and workers, including Pt. Vasudev Shastri, Sharad Agarwal, Anil Tiwari, Alok Tiwari, Anoop Tiwari, Mukesh Pathak, Mangu Goyal, Munna Patel, Mukesh Siparsania, Ashish Nagariya, Antu Jain, Munna Bhaijan, Rajnish Dubey, Advocate Shubham Mishra, Astik Tiwari, and Shailesh Dubey, were present on this 27th death anniversary celebrated as 'Nirbhay Divas'. All reiterated their resolve to follow the ideals of Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari and work towards strengthening the organization.

The event revitalized the deep devotion and respect the public holds for Pt. Omkar Prasad Tiwari in the city. All attendees bowed before his statue, offering heartfelt tributes.
