Water Crisis and Contamination in Aron Due to Unauthorized Digging

A serious water crisis has erupted in the city of Aron, Madhya Pradesh, following the arbitrary actions of a private company working for BSNL. The company, identified as Jik Power Bhopal, commenced underground excavation work without obtaining prior permission.

This unauthorized digging resulted in severe damage to the city's main water supply pipeline. Consequently, residents are now receiving foul and contaminated water from their taps, posing a significant health risk to the local population. The direct impact of this negligence is a severe public health concern.

Immediate Action and FIR Request

In response to this unexpected incident and the grave public health issue it has created, the Nagar Parishad Aron has taken immediate action. The Chief Municipal Officer (CMO), Dinesh Kumar Soni, has dispatched a letter (No. 2392, dated October 28, 2026) to the Station In-charge of Aron Police Station, requesting the registration of a First Information Report (FIR).

The letter holds the company's supervisor, Suraj Bhadauria, machine operator Sumit Yadav, and site engineer Sanjay Jaat directly responsible for the entire incident. The administration is demanding an FIR against these individuals for conducting excavation without permission and jeopardizing public health.

Excavation Halted Amidst Public Outcry

Following the viral circulation of video footage related to this incident on social media, widespread public anger has surfaced. Taking cognizance of citizen complaints and outrage, the Nagar Parishad has acted swiftly. CMO Dinesh Kumar Soni, along with inspectors Shivram Bairagi and Shivam Sharma, personally visited the site and ordered an immediate halt to the illegal excavation work.

Information regarding this serious matter has also been promptly conveyed to the Collector of Guna and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Aron. The administration is preparing for stringent legal action against the company to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future.

Restoration Efforts Underway

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to normalize the water supply in the affected areas and provide immediate relief to citizens suffering from the contaminated water issue. Repair and cleaning work on the pipeline is being conducted on a war footing.
