Site Inspection and Progress Review
Balrampur District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain visited the site of the under-construction Jharkandi Railway Overbridge to review the project's progress. He issued strict instructions to the implementing agency to complete the construction work with high quality within the stipulated timeframe.
The District Magistrate stressed that project work should not be hindered due to a lack of coordination between any departments. During the inspection, he ordered the completion of electric pole shifting work as a top priority.
Ensuring Public Convenience and Traffic Management
He specifically requested that special attention be paid to minimizing inconvenience to the general public during their commute. To achieve this, instructions were given to widen the service road and ensure smooth traffic management, preventing traffic jams due to construction materials or activities.
Strict Adherence to Safety Standards
The District Magistrate issued extremely stringent directives regarding safety arrangements at the construction site. He clarified that the safety of laborers and the general public is paramount and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
Instructions were given to install proper barricading, warning boards, and signposts in the construction area to prevent unauthorized entry onto the worksite. Emphasis was placed on ensuring visibility of safety standards even during nighttime.
Emphasis on Regular Monitoring and Quality
Finally, the District Magistrate instructed the concerned officials to regularly monitor the project. He reiterated that it is mandatory to complete the work in a time-bound manner, ensuring 100% compliance with quality and safety standards.
The implementing agency was also directed to effectively utilize available resources and manpower to maintain continuity in the construction work and ensure the project is completed within the scheduled timeframe.
Present during this inspection were the ADM Judicial, Assistant Engineer Alok Shukla from the Setu Nigam, Executive Engineer from the Public Works Department, and other relevant officials.
