Guru Purnima: Confluence of Devotion and Reverence at Shri Jumat Mandir on July 29

Grand Celebration at Shri Jumat Mandir

The ancient Shri Jumat Mandir in the city will celebrate the festival of Guru Purnima on July 29, 2026, with immense devotion, reverence, and joy. As in previous years, all necessary preparations have been completed to uphold the Guru tradition.

Divine Adornments and Spiritual Offerings

The temple will be specially decorated for this auspicious occasion. A key highlight will be the divine adornment of Thakur Ji, for which a special costume has been procured from Mathura. The ethereal form of Thakur Ji, adorned with silver ornaments, beautiful floral arrangements, and exquisite makeup, will be a special attraction for devotees, offering them the fortune of divine darshan.

Remembrance of Guru Tradition and Mantra Diksha

The Guru Purnima festival will commence at 8:30 AM with the worship of the holy footwear at the Samadhi of the late Param Pujya Gurudev. During this time, devotees will offer flowers at the Guru's feet to receive blessings and pay homage to the Guru-disciple tradition.

Following this, from 10:00 AM, Mahant Shri Dipendra Das Ji of Shri Jumat will bestow Guru mantra diksha upon devotees, continuing the sacred tradition of the late Param Pujya Gurudev. This initiation will provide seekers with spiritual direction, the grace of the Guru, and an invaluable opportunity for self-improvement.

Community Participation and Appeal

Temple Mahant Shri Dipendra Das Ji has appealed to all devotees, religious enthusiasts, and Guru devotees from the city and surrounding areas to attend the Guru Purnima festival in large numbers to receive the blessings of Thakur Ji's divine darshan, Guru Pujan, and Guru mantra diksha.

He described this event as a sacred opportunity to express devotion, dedication to the Guru, and faith in the Indian Sanatan Guru-disciple tradition. Several individuals, including Vinod Namdev, Karan Singh Kushwaha, Kailash Sahu, Chunnilal Kushwaha, Dilip Mewad, Rajesh Sahu, Arun Kushwaha, Piyush Sharma, Madhav Gupta, Sudama Kushwah, Om Shriwas, and Keshav Kushal Yash, are contributing to the successful organization of this two-day festival.

This festival is expected to be a unique confluence of devotion, spirituality, and Guru's grace.
