Three Dead in Horrific Collision

In a tragic road accident on the service lane of the Bundelkhand Expressway in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, three people including a mother, son, and aunt were killed instantly. The incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Kharela police station area while the family was returning home after attending a mundan ceremony.

Accident Details

A speeding tractor-trolley laden with bamboo poles collided head-on with their motorcycle, turning an atmosphere of joy into one of mourning. The deceased have been identified as Kapil, 18, his mother Vimla, 45, and his aunt Kamla, 40, all residents of Pathanpur village in Hamirpur district. It is reported that the mundan ceremony for Kapil, held ten years after his birth, was organized in Rewai village, and the family was returning from there.

Police Investigation Underway

Upon receiving information, local police immediately rushed to the scene. The rescue team transported the critically injured individuals to the Mahoba District Hospital. However, doctors declared them dead despite extensive treatment. Medical outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector Pawan Gaur confirmed the incident and stated that the bodies have been sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. The police have informed the families of the deceased, plunging them into deep sorrow.

Officials are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident, focusing on aspects such as the speed of the tractor-trolley, its load, and overtaking circumstances.
