Elderly Man Dies After Violent Assault in Guna

In the Miana police station area of Guna district, a 65-year-old elderly man, Makhan Singh Ahirwar, died after a brutal assault on the night of September 16th. In a swift action, the police arrested all six named accused within 24 hours of the incident.

The incident occurred in the village of Gopalpur Mardhay, where the complainant, Gulshan Ahirwar, alleged that some villagers verbally abused his uncle, Shishpal. When Gulshan intervened, the accused attacked him with sticks and rods, injuring him. His grandfather, Makhan Singh Ahirwar, who tried to mediate, was also severely beaten by the assailants.

Murder Case Registered and Arrest Operation

Following a report filed by Makhan Singh Ahirwar's nephew, Gulshan Ahirwar, a case was registered at Miana police station. The accused named are Lalji Ahirwar, Rahul Ahirwar, Mahendra Ahirwar, Nanda Ahirwar, Sukha Ahirwar, and Mansinga Ahirwar. Charges have been filed under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including crime number 220/26 and sections 296(A), 115(2), 103(1), and 3(5).

Considering the sensitivity of the matter, a special team was formed under the leadership of Miana Station House Officer Inspector Brijmohan Singh Bhadauria. The police team conducted intense raids on suspected locations in search of the culprits.

Police Action Leads to Rapid Arrests

Through relentless efforts, the police successfully apprehended all six accused – Lalji, Rahul, Nanda, Mansinga, Sukha, and Mahendra – within a mere 24-hour period. All the arrested individuals are reportedly residents of Gopalpur Mardhay village.

Accused Sent to Judicial Custody

After completing the legal procedures, all the arrested accused were presented before the Honorable Court in Guna. The court ordered their remand to judicial custody, after which they were transferred to jail. Sub-Inspector Vijay Singh Parihar, ASI Ramkrishna Raghuwanshi, ASI Kailash Dande, and other members of the police team played a significant role in this successful and prompt operation.

The district police administration has reiterated its commitment to taking stringent action against elements disturbing law and order in the future and assured continuous monitoring to maintain peace in the region.
